Dr. Verma is a proponent for tennis athletes at both the junior and adult levels.
During his time at Emory University, Dr. Verma had the unique opportunity to receive specialized training in tennis medicine via the Emory Tennis Medicine Program. Dr. Verma learned detailed aspects of the evaluation and treatment of youth and adult tennis athletes. This includes the role of stroke mechanics on injury risk, methods for injury risk reduction, and implementing tennis-specific return-to-play programs.
Dr. Verma has experience treating professional tennis players as an event physician for the 2021 Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Chicago Tennis Festival 125, 250, and 500 events along with the 2023 WTA Chicago Women’s Open.
Dr. Verma currently serves as director of the Endeavor Health Tennis Medicine Program. The purpose of the program is to partner with local tennis clubs to provide high-quality evidence-based care for junior and adult tennis players. Benefits of the program include:
